We Were Liars by E. Lockhart

Image
He was contemplation and enthusiasm, ambition and strong coffee. She is sugar, curiosity, and rain. He is bounce, effort and snark. My Liars Cadence Sinclair Eastman, the heir to her Grandfather's wealth and a very happy girl. She spends her summers with her extended family, on Beechwood Island. It's summer seventeen - but everyone is hiding something from Cadence. What happened summer fifteen, the memories her accident claimed. What happened to the Liars? I really loved this book. It got better as I went on, and had me crying at the end. It was such a fucking unexpected plot twist and I couldn't handle it. I loved all the Liars so much. Is there a sequel to this book??? Also, I have family whose last name is Sinclair...... It was just such a great book.  There is a movie for the book and I hope it lives up to my expectations. I have decided to change my blog a little, and make it more "me"! Get in touch if you find any good fan fiction of any of the

I regret to inform you that I have had to take my own life. This descision has been a long time coming, and was mine alone to make. I know it will cause you pain, and for that I am sorry, but please know that I needed to end my own pain. This has nothing to do with you and everything to do with me. It's not your fault.                                                                                      Meg                                      From Gayle Forman, author of bestselling novels If I Stay and Where She Went, comes a tragic tale of love, loss and loose ends. Red Queen by Victoria Aveyard

"Rise, Red as the Dawn!" Red Queen has been on my to - read list for a long time. I really liked it! It is set in a world divided. The Silvers, nobles, politicians, rule with their fierce abilities, and the gift less Reds serve them. Mare Barrow was born and raised a Red, destined to die in the battle field. But Mare has an ability too, and there is nothing the Silvers can do to hide it, or her. So they show her off, as a long lost Silver princess, raised a Red, and engaged to the second prince, Maven. But rebel forces are moving, and Mare is drawn to the Scarlet Guard like a Red to a chance of hope. I liked Farley best, and Elara. I also liked Maven, a million times more than Cal. It was interesting, and I will read the second, especially to find out about the list!!!

Fangirl by Rainbow Rowell

I'm the kind of girl who fantasizes about being trapped in a library overnight... As soon as I heard of this book I'm like "Wait, there is a book about some one as obsessed as me must read must read must read!" So I did. It centers around Cather, one of a pair, an identical twin. She is going to univerity, and her sister, Wren, has decided she doesn't want to be identical anymore. But Cath is lost without Wren, and she struggles through the first weeks of uni, burying herself in the fanfiction she writes, and the world of Simon Snow. But is Cath ready to meet new people and have new experiences????? This book was really good and quite relatable. I lived it, and it made me realise I should get more involved my my fandom. My favourite character was probobly Cath, but I loved Wren and Reagen and Levi, too. They are all such interesting characters. I would love to read Simon Snow, and I will read Carry On, a book by Rainbow Rowell, based on Cath&#

Throne of Glass by Sarah J. Maas

I can survive well enough on my own - if given the proper reading materials. Celaena Sardothien is an assasin. The best of her kind. Celaena Sardothien is an eighteen year old girl. Sent to work in a death camp of Endovier at seventeen for her crimes, Celaena doesn't expect to see daylight again, but Dorian, Crown Prince of Adarlan, is looking for a Champion to represent him in a tournament, the winner of which will become the Kings assasin. It's a chance for Celaena to get out of Endovier, whether she wins or looses. She was looking for freedom, she never expected to find love..... My favorite characters were Celaena and Nehemia. This book was really good. I'm going to read the second, and I can't wait to find out what happens!!! I just finished this book this morning, and I'll be back soon with the next book I devour!!!

The Perks of Being a Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky

You're a wallflower, Charlie, You see things. You keep quite about them. You understand. A while ago I watched the movie for this book. (Not knowing there was a book! Never watch a movie before you read the book!!) I really like it, so of course I ordered the book when I found out there was one!! This book is strange, but I really liked it. Charlie is a wallflower, sitting and watching from the edge, but now he's starting high school. There he meets hilarious "Nothing" And irresistible Sam, and they become friends. But still he watches as they have their hearts broken, watches as they dance, never dreaming of dancing himself, until one day it occurs to him that he should take a look at what life looks like when you "Participate"! My favourite character was Sam, played by Emma Watson in the movie. She's funny and great. It's a really sad book and hard to read at times. Sometimes I just want to go smack Charlie and be like "No! DON'

Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth

I am as sharp as broken glass, and just as fragile. I tell lies better than I tell truths, I see all of the Galaxy and never catch a glimpse of it. Veronica Roth, who wrote Divergent, published this new book a few months ago. I finally finished it a few days ago and it's good. Cyra is gifted with pain. Akos is the only one who can make the pain stop. Cyra is caught in the clutches of her tyranical brother, leader of the Shotet. Akos wants to rescue his brother and take him back to Thuve. Cyra is forced to hurt people for her brother. Akos is forced to be her painkiller. Until it all becomes much more..... Cyra wants her brother dead and Akos wants his back.  Will they work together to get what they want? My favourite character in this book was Isae.Your currentgift is meant to reflect you so mine would be to do with books..... I did like this book but it was a bit slow and I liked Divergent lots more.

Fire Colour One by Jenny Valentine

A few weeks ago I went to a bookclub. It was the first one (they are now monthly) and this was the book we were given to read. At my father's funeral, after everything, I lit a great big fire in his honour. It's about a girl called Iris who is a pyromaniac. One day her millionaire dad, who left her and her mother when Iris was four, gets in touch, saying he is dying and wants to see Iris again. In hopes of getting money in his will, Iris's mother drags Iris with her to see him. But Ernest is different to her mother's discriptions, and when Iris meets her father, she wishes she had more time with him. But everyone is keeping secrets, and Iris has lost her best friend, Thurston, the only person she could trust. I just finished this book this morning and I really liked Iris, and I didn't think she was crazy at all. At the beginning the book wasn't so good, but it got much better. My favourite character was DEFINETLY Thurston, who is really funny. This prob

Wishes are false.Hope is true. Hope makes it's own magic. Hey! Again, sorry it took me so long to write. I've been busy. I finished a book on Thursday, and all I can say is that it was AMAZING!!!!!!! DEFINITELY on my favourites list. I loved it!!!! Daughter of Smoke and Bone is about a girl called Karou, who tries to keep her two lives in balance. One as an art student in Prague, and the other as a errand-girl to monstrous creature who collects teeth and grants wishes, who is the nearest thing she has to family. But Brimstone is keeping many secrets from her, and all of them are fatal as she tries to rescue her family and discover her past, helped by a fallen angel, a beautiful seraphim, and her best friend, small but feisty Zuzana. It is the first in a trilogy, and once I've written this I'm going to order the second book, Days of Blood and Starlight, from the Library catalogue! My favourite character was Karou, but I also loved Zuzana. I'd like to be m

Everything, Everything by Nicola Yoon

Hi again! Sorry, it's been a while. I was half way through a really thick book, but then I picked up Everything, Everything and I read it instead, I finished it yesterday, but I've been too busy to blog it until now!                                                              Everything, Everything is about a girl named Madeline who is allergic to the world. Stepping outside could kill her. She hasn't had the company of anyone but her mom, her nurse, and the occasional tutor, but then some a family move next door. And Maddy meets Olly.                                                 Maddy falls in love with him, and she is willing to risk everything, everything to be with him.           This is a really great book, and I look forward to watching the movie, starring Amandla Stenburg as Maddy and Nick Robinson as Olly.                             This book is great if you like a bit of heartache.        It is a great teen romance and coming of age story. I know everything h

Graceling by Kristin Cashore

If there is anyone I wish to stun at dinner, I'll hit him in the face. This book, set in a world where people with exceptional skills, known as Graces, are both feared and revered, really drew me in to it's dark plot! I loved it!!! It is about a girl named Katsa, Graced with killing, a Grace that she despises. She is used as a weapon by the king of her realm but completes missions behind his back with the aid of her Council. One mission she goes on, in which she rescues an old man, father of the king of another realm, drags her deeper into a complex adventure, in which she meets Po, a prince whose gift of fighting rivals her own. My favourite character was Katsa, but Bitterblue and Po are only a millimetre behind. If I could have any Grace I would have the Grace of survival, because it would help with loads of stuff. I wouldn't mind the Grace of creativity though, I always get writer's block!!! I would definitely suggest this book to anyone who loves fan
