Can You Smell It?

March Prompt - Favourite Scent. I've got to say, I don't really notice the smells around me - except the food ones -. Still, our noses are amazing things. Everything has its own individual scent. I don't have a favourite, but I'm going to share with you some of the ones I like. See if you can conjure up the scents I love without it being around you. I won't include food, or my list will go on forever. Our noses can remember 50,000 scents. Do you remember the same one I do? I'm going to start with snow. You don't always notice, but snow has a rather delicious smell. Like wind and flowers and cold. I wouldn't recommend sticking your head out the window and smelling it for long though, your nose might freeze off. We recently had the first snow settling this year! Art Can Be Anything - The Art of Cooking

Blog All About It April - Art So this month, the prompt is art, and I gotta tell you; I DO NOT DRAW. Like at all. The closest I get to drawing is colouring in occasionally and when I have to draw for school stuff. I'd like to be a good artist but I'm not and I'm okay to accept that. While drawing is fun sometimes, I'm a writer inside. So I had NO good ideas on what to do in my blog post. NONE. I came up with a couple shit ones like posting my favourite fan art, attempting to draw from tutorials or posting art my friends drew. I have some pretty artsy friends, but they wouldn't want to share. Or just finding art I liked and sharing it with you guys.   But art can be anything, right? Instructions For Flight by Kate. I. Foley Kate I. Foley’s debut poetry collection took my breath away. The language was rich in beautiful metaphors and similes, repetition and rhyme were used perfectly. I always find that when I read a good poetry book, I start speaking with line breaks, and this one certainly had that effect. Instructions For Flight discusses important issues in a unique and stunning way. It explores love, hate and fear using gorgeous imagery and eloquent language. Kate shows pure love and emotion in a bare and truthful way. She conveys feeling wonderfully with metaphors and similes in a way I’ve never seen before. Her poetry collection is not extremely long but it is important and powerful. My favourite poem of the collection would have to be the namesake, Instructions for Flight.
