If you like historical crime definetely oick this up but I won't be cause it's not my genre        

          So i won this but I read a couple chapters and it looked really bad: To lose your family is heart-breaking. To be forgotten by them is unforgivable. Cassie and Erin are sisters. They are close - in age, looks and personality - but there is one crucial difference: Cassie is adopted. At seventeen, Cassie sets out to find her birth mother. She is hungry for the truth, but she discovers her adoption was far more complicated than even she could have imagined. In uncovering her past identity Cassie learns her adoptive parents have kept a terrible secret from her her whole life, which now threatens to destroy everything she has ever held dear. however i gave it to my dad and he really liked it so i guess i'd reccomend this to mature audiences

          Soo I'm actually writing a review of an excerpt of book one because I haven't read this yet. I picked up a sampler at YALC this book lookes creepy and chilling but the prose is really good. High school murder   =   super fun, let's be honest. This book is about students at a private school and loads of dark stuff that goes on there. THis looks really creepy, but good I think I'll pick this up at some point but I'm not sure. The cover is really cool but can I ask,d does STAGS or DOGS stand for something? lol So I think if you liked If We Were Villains you'll probably like this one? but with less shakespeare. I've heard people who liked If we were villains say it was great so yeah! This looks good and I'll def be picking it up one day        

Instructions For Flight by Kate. I. Foley Kate I. Foley’s debut poetry collection took my breath away. The language was rich in beautiful metaphors and similes, repetition and rhyme were used perfectly. I always find that when I read a good poetry book, I start speaking with line breaks, and this one certainly had that effect. Instructions For Flight discusses important issues in a unique and stunning way. It explores love, hate and fear using gorgeous imagery and eloquent language. Kate shows pure love and emotion in a bare and truthful way. She conveys feeling wonderfully with metaphors and similes in a way I’ve never seen before. Her poetry collection is not extremely long but it is important and powerful. My favourite poem of the collection would have to be the namesake, Instructions for Flight.           The Twisted Tree follows a girl named Martha who lost her eye in an accident and has since been able to sense people's emotions and memories when she touches her clothes as she travels to visit her grandmother in Norway to find out more about her strange ability. This story takes elements from horror and Norse Mythology to provide a captivating novel for teens and adults alike. The first few sentences of The Twisted Tree drew me in because they were strange. They left me with a lot of questions, so I continued to read... The writing style is easily comprehensible and descriptive, so it read easily and it was enjoyable. The first chapter made me quickly sympathise with the main character because she's shy and embarrassed. She has normal, ordinary struggles which make her relatable and likeable. I found that there were moments inside Martha's head without any action or dialogue that dragged out a little, with a bit too much telling rather than showi...

So. Books... Um...  This April, I've barely been reading. Awful, I know. So, I haven't been able to make any trips to the library and the books I ordered to my local one haven't come anyway. I was despairing.  And then I'm like; You stupid girl, why did you spend money buying your favourite books, huh, when you'd ALREADY READ THEM? TO RE READ THEM!!! So I've been re-reading, some thourougly, some just my favourite scenes. I've been re-reading Throne of Glass, The Fault in Our Stars, The Siren and a couple others on my shelf. I have read a couple books for the first time this month, obviously. I started the book for Pretty Little Liars 'cause me and my friend are slowly watching the series together, but the writing wasn't that good and I pretty much knew what was going to happen. It's FINALLY HERE! I preordered it was so happy when it arrived on 2nd May. My life is complete after I finished it last night! Okay, not quite. Still waiting on KOA. I loved that, as well as Rhys and Feyre, we had bits narrated (in 3rd person) By Morrigan, Cassian and Nesta! AMAZING. We found out about High Fae periods! The Azriel-Elain-Lucien triangle has not been sorted out yet but NEVER FEAR. Another book is on the way. I don't know what it's called but I read an excerpt and it's told in 3rd person by Cassian and Nesta and will focus on their adventure in the Illyrian Mountains. Basically, it's Nessian fanfiction. Be ready! I don't know the date yet! I loved Feyre And The Paintings because she finally started to paint. And we got some good Feysand action, insight into Cassian and Mor's pasts. So I'm happy. Blog All About It April - Art So this month, the prompt is art, and I gotta tell you; I DO NOT DRAW. Like at all. The closest I get to drawing is colouring in occasionally and when I have to draw for school stuff. I'd like to be a good artist but I'm not and I'm okay to accept that. Two theatre-mad, self-invented fabulositon Ohio teenagers. One boy, one girl. One gay, one straight. One black, one white. And SUMMER DRAMA CAMP. It's a season of hormones, gold lame, hissy fits, jazz hands, song and dance, true love, and unitards that will determine their future --and test their friendship. So, in case you didn't know, We Were Liars by E Lockhart is one of the best books in the world. So when I see a book by the author of that magic in a charity shop... I buy it, obviously. That, in case you hadn't picked up, is how I found Dramarama! Being a fan of acting myself, it gave me some insight into the world of fame.  Although not half as good as We Were Liars (Not much is...), this book was pretty good, the characters are unique, as is the writing. My favourite bits were the bits on tape, they were funny... I loved the style of this, how light-hearted it could be, how much insight you could gain on her feeling without her ...

I'm a big fantasy lover, and I can't help noticing when people tag things as # fantasy , and they are high fantasy . Obviously, it's still fantasy , so do tag that. But tag #highfantasy as well. And one more thing, high fantasy is a sub-genre of regular fantasy . It's still fantasy, guys. Sooooo... I'm going to start by giving an example of regular fantasy ; Twilight. Though more of a romance, Twilight is indeed fantasy . I mean, vampires don't really exist. Another example is The Mortal Instruments. They are amazing and have a lot more fantasy aspects than Twilight, but they aren't high fantasy. Neither is Harry Potter, Percy Jackson or Hush Hush. I just want to give this amazing book five stars and not talk about it OK? *sniffs* The third - and probably final - book featuring beautiful and unique Louisa Clark. In this one she's off to New York to a well paid job as a companion to a troubled woman. But Agnes is hiding many things. And will Lou be able to survive the separation from her boyfriend Sam? And now there's a new card on the table, and it comes in the form of a man who looks just like another man she once loved. I re-read this book recently! It's just as good as I remember. It's easy to read which is good as most of the books I read are a little harder to understand. It's not too long and I managed to read it in a couple days. Every day a different body. Every day a different life. Every day in love with the same girl. A great book and must read for fans of contemporary fiction. I think a really good part of this book is you get to see so many different lives. So...
