Walking down the
pier
so many happy faces
families
couples
smiles
laughter
happiness I could never conjure
eating ice-cream
don't you know what you're doing
to those you don't see
the cows have lives too
and you are ruining them

Deep in my thought
so frightened
want to hide away
but I cannot
hide in my own consciousness
cannot hide from the person I fear most
myself
